Residential & Commercial Overview

Whether you are investing in solar for your home or commercial property, solar is a smart choice today and for the future. You can save money by lowering your monthly utility bills and cut long-term operating costs—all while reducing your carbon footprint.

By going solar with Solar Roof Dynamics, you are taking advantage of our unique business model that yields even greater economic benefit to the consumer. Our Signature Dealer network consists of highly skilled contractors that go through a strict vetting process. Up to one in five solar installations have roofing deficiencies that can lead to roof leaks and our vetting process mitigates this risk.

To ensure that consumers have the best experience possible, SRD follows a strict vetting process when adding new contractors into our Signature Dealer network.  The criteria we examine includes: how long they have been in business, how large their company is, their reputation (based on reviews from BBB, Yelp, Angie’s List, etc.), and whether we believe they promote operational excellence.

Additionally, Solar Roof Dynamics’ Signature Network give consumers the opportunity to think about installing solar panels at the best time—when they are already installing a new roof. The product lifecycle of a new roof is 20-30 years, while the product lifecycle of solar panels is over 25 years. By aligning product lifecycles, the consumer maximizes their solar return on investment.

Go solar with Solar Roof Dynamics and guarantee yourself the financial benefits of going solar the right way.

How Solar Works

  1. Solar panels are installed on the roof. They are made up of photovoltaic (PV) cells, which convert sunlight into direct current (DC) power.
  2. DC power from the solar panels is sent to an inverter, which performs the conversion to alternating current (AC) power, the standard electrical current used in your home.
  3. AC power travels from the inverter to the electrical panel and is ready to use.
  4. Energy you don’t use goes back to the utility grid and creates an electricity “credit” for you

Steps to hiring a contractor

Choosing to go solar is the first step. The second and most important step is picking the right installer.

Solar Roof Dynamics understands that preserving the integrity of the roof is critical. Start your journey to solar by working only with a qualified installer that has both solar and roofing expertise.

  • Ask the installer about both their solar and roofing experience and be sure to get details about actual projects completed.
  • Check the contractor’s credentials; go to www.contractors-license.org and verify not only that their license is in good standing, but also confirm what type of work they are licensed to do (i.e. solar, electrical, roofing, etc.).
  • Make sure they have a good reputation. Check the BBB and other review websites (i.e. Angie’s List, Yelp, etc.). Ask for references and talk to some of their customers.
  • Ensure that the company has installed solar and understands all the different technology options to ensure the system works efficiently and effectively so you can maximize your investment.
  • Discuss the roof with the installer. They should assess the condition of the roof and determine whether a new roof is needed or what repairs (if any) are recommended prior to installing solar.
  • The contractor you hire should also have access to a range of financing options, such as PACE, PPAs, etc. to ensure that you get the financing solution that best meets your unique needs.

We pride ourselves on being the best partner for roofing contractors because we enable them to quickly and easily design and install the ideal solar solution for each of their customers. We also emphasize quality control and conduct inspections to ensure that each installed solar solution meets the industry’s highest standards.
